History of Kenny Associates Solicitors

Mulvey Kenny & Co. Solicitors was established in 2003 having incorporated the firm of John J. Duggan & Co. Solicitors which was established in 1897 in Carlow Town by John J Duggan. The practice continued under his son William L Duggan who died in 1991. William L Duggan was recognised as being a particularly fine district court practitioner and was in his day actively involved with Carlow Rowing Club , Carlow Little Theatre and Co Carlow Football Club.Bill had a great love of the river Barrow and drew up the first navigation maps that are still used by those who boat on her waters.Bill often worked on a pro bono basis on behalf of the people and businesses of not just the Carlow area but of also Leinster.

The practice today is still based in the original Georgian town house at College Street, Carlow, which was both the residence and office of the late John J. Duggan Solicitor and that of his son W.L. Duggan.

Today the firm consists of three solicitors and approximately eight staff.

Peter Kenny is today the Principal of Kenny Associates Solicitors and began his legal career under the supervision of the late William (Bill) Duggan.

Anna Cogan Solicitor joined the firm in 2007 and has extensive experience in all aspects of law.

In 2009, the firm of Larke Doyle Solicitors was incorporated with the firm of Mulvey Kenny & Co. Solicitors leading to a further expansion of the practice.
